At the 255th Bristol (Channel) Sea Scouts we always do the best we can to provide top quality Scouting for the children of our community. However, there are limits to what we can do and how many Scouts of all ages we can take on, most important of which is the need for additional adult support.
We currently have an urgent need for volunteers to fulfil a number of roles. These include additional assistant leaders in all three sections, but also the equally important supporting roles of Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. If you would like to help us continue to provide Scouting for the community of Southville, please head over to the Join Us page for more information.
Following last term’s successful Smarties tube fundraising effort for the Friendship Clinic, Nepal, in which a total of £200 was raised thanks to the generosity of our Scouts and their families, the 255th Bristol (Channel) Sea Scouts have received a gracious letter of thanks from the Clinic’s co-founders, Peter Shore a.k.a. Shanghai, who gave us all a great talk last term about how the Clinic came to be founded, and his wife Beryl Shore. If you would like to find out more about what Peter and Beryl plan to do with the money, simply click on the thumbnail image to the right.
Hello and welcome to all Scouts and parents viewing our web site for the first time as the new term begins! We hope you enjoy browsing our pages. Some content still needs to be added, but on this site you can find the Beavers and Cubs’ programmes for Autumn 2011 and photos of some of the activities we took part in last term. Feel free to contact us if you have any comments about this site, or you can register yourselves an account and post comments direct onto the site itself.
